And then when I was older and I was getting into yoga and, and that sort of space, going to university and studying different spirituality and religions around the world, I had my first teacher who taught me mindfulness meditation.

Um, and actually, at that time, he-- I remember he said to me, he said, "You know, you might really be interested at some point in the Kalachakra." And that's, like, the wheel of time, and it's a Tibetan Buddhist, um, lineage.

And I thought I remembered it at the time, but it actually wasn't until recently that I've started to go down that path with, uh- With a group of people, and I'm learning more about that, so that's fun.

I'm, I'm, you know, I'm all about ongoing education.

I, I mentioned to you I'm in a Kalachakra study at the moment that I do on, I do this on weekends when I, you know, for the next however many months.

And then I have another meditation course that I'm doing as well.

They're kind of a weird –

So I'm very familiar with the Druze because they actually are considered to be part of the Kala Chakra system.

I don't know how familiar you are with that, Doc.

But if you look at the Druze flag, it is a five-pointed star in multi-colors.

So this matches perfectly to what we would call the Wheel of Time or the Kala Chakra.

The Druze are considered to move in synchronicity with the actual Kalachakra.

So we would consider them like they're Buddhist by proxy kind of thing.

So let me tell you one more Dalai Lama story and then we can continue.

So fast forward many years and I was in Toronto and His Holiness was giving the Kala Chakra initiation and Ajahn Veradhamo was attending the teachings prior to the Kala Chakra initiation.

And again, His Holiness is very gracious very generous and very honoring of traditions.

And so the Theravadan tradition is the oldest tradition.

And so I was sitting next to Ajahn V and we were invited to go and to do the chanting.

And so we were doing the chanting, which was fine.

But then when the Kala Chakra initiation started, Ajahn Vee left and there was no other Theravada monastic.

There was just me.

That means you have to, when you understand the teachings, the books, everything, how connected to each other, then you know you have everything is clarity.

So that's why we don't have to go many teachings, many practices, many times, because Kalachakra include everything.

And so then is Shambhala focus is or the possibilities in your hands, and the maximum and the minimum, okay? That's what we do.

So the first one I said, if you achieved, achieved the first yoga only, you have triple guarantee and Shambhala, remember? But now we say next one, we say, even you didn't achieve that.

Why? Because they focus only Sutrayana.

and that Amitabha Pure Land is according to Sutrayana.

And this Shambhala is, this Kalachakra teachings connecting with Shambhala is according to Tantrayana.

And the Shambhala is Tantrayana Purim, not a Sutrayana Purim.

In, in a very powerful way, she was creating community out of the individual, and I think about that.

You know, I remember years ago when I was doing some work in Spain, I went to the Kalachakra ceremony that the Dalai Lama was conducting, and it was two weeks.

You know, I'm not a Buddhist, but I was interested in ceremony, and I really wanted to just hear his teachings because I admire him as, as a, as a global leader.

And I did not understand the Tibetan teachings, but I loved what he had to say about compassion and patience and, and presence.

It's less a battle against corruption and more a re-illumination after forgetting.

Tibetan tradition holds the Shambhala warriors tied to the Kalachakra teachings describing a hidden kingdom that becomes visible again only when the world reaches its darkest point, ruled by materialism and the loss of spiritual value.

When greed for power and possessions has replaced spiritual value so completely that compassion and wisdom themselves seem to have vanished from human affairs.

The Kalachakra tradition describes a line of 32 kings reigning in succession within the hidden kingdom before the final king is even born.

Only this final king, Rudra Chakran, leads warriors out to end the reign of what the tradition calls the forces of greed.
