Kai Winding

Yeah.

They all made it sound real cool and, and smooth and hip, you know, in 1949, uh, I think Kai Winding and or JJ Johnson played the trombone book on a lot of that or on all of it, I think.

And I'm here to tell you that music is humbling just to play through those parts.

So, you know, that's kind of how it's gone for me over 35 plus years, almost 40 years, really.

It had songs like Darling Lorraine and also You're the One.

Singles that were released on October 3rd include Kai Winding and his orchestra, who in 1963 released the original rhythm and blues version of the song Time is on My Side.

This song was written by Jerry Ragavoy, and it had gospel-style backup vocals by Sissy Houston, Dionne Warwick, and Dee Dee Warwick.

The original song received some radio coverage.

At the piano, Mr. Thelonious Monk.

On the trombone, Kay Winding.

On the tenor saxophone and the alto saxophone, Mr. Sonny Stitt.

On the trumpet, Dizzy Gillespie.
