K-1 visa

It's, it's pretty crazy how long these things are taking.

And speaking about craziness, I just saw a post from a colleague, and I've seen this a couple times last year, where people who came on fiancé visa, so let me... are in deportation.

Now let me explain what happened, which doesn't make any sense.

On its face of it, it's kind of illegal.

But when you do a fiancé visa, you first tell the government, "I have a fiancé who's overseas.

Please believe this relationship is real." They approve that form I-129F.

Eventually, the fiancé goes to the embassy.

Once they enter the United States, they have to get married within ninety days.

Giving the benefit of the doubt, viewers and the couple both were looking forward to how their love story unfolded.

However, worldly affairs are based on practical tenets like finances, and Danielle having all four of her kids living with her was financially insufficient to meet the federal poverty guideline threshold required for K1 Visa sponsorship.

Thankfully for her, her father co-signed the sponsorship affidavit to meet the financial requirement, but as fate would have it, the couple's troubles were just beginning to unfold as Danielle lost her, and Mohamed took it very badly.

Not to forget, courtesy of the K1 visa, Muhammad flew to the United States on October 2014 to begin the 90-day window in which they were required to marry.

And even though Muhammad knew he was not ready, or more like not sure if he wanted to get married to Danielle, he still went ahead with the ceremony and became the groom that very same day before the time ran out.
