I mean, he brought manga to the forefront in Japan and, of course, across the world.

Yeah, and I have not read nearly as much manga as you have, and I haven't read nearly as much Urasawa as you have.

Um, again, I don't know for sure.

I don't really know anything about Junji Ito, his politics, his anything like that, so I have no idea.

It might genuinely just be that he thought this was creepy and funny and weird and whatever.

So but the fact that it, it, that moment is similar-ish makes me think that maybe Junji Ito was involved and somehow and told-

I have grown more fond of Gyo since then, and Uzumaki was a bit of a mixed bag.

But I have to mention Junji Ito Collection.

from the master of like the horror horrifying page turner style mangas that you got you know he has really fun sort of out there existential horror dread concepts to his uh to his manga and like really really good visuals just a really has yet to be

They just can't seem to get it.

You just don't have the correct budget, passion to really follow through on his work.

And the Ito collection was like a scattershot of shit because they just took...

They made an anthology series where they adapted a bunch of his stories all at once, one after the other after the other.

It originally appeared as a serial in Shog- Shogakukan's weekly Seinen manga magazine.

Around the six-minute mark when we first see the angry cop, he looks at a wanted poster and the, the image on the wanted poster is Junji Ito, the creator of the manga, so a little author cameo there.

Love an author cameo.

Yeah.

Just wanna give a quick shout-out to Tomie by Junji Ito.

It was his first novel length manga.

I don't know what the right wording is for that, but, you know, like, a long, full story, [laughs] and it was really cool.
