Junior Dragster

Well, I'll use myself for an example, because I've held Top Sportsman license with NHRA.

I've had, obviously, a Super Comp license, Super Gas license, ET license, all that stuff, all the way back to Junior Dragsters.

Well, I'm not saying necessarily if I don't run my Top Sportsman car for however long and then I want an NHRA license, okay, let me, like, let me make my two runs or whatever as if I was upgrading from a regular license.

Let me make my two runs solo and call it good, because I've had it before.

I've been racing since I was eight.

Um, so I started in Junior Dragsters, and I know drag racing's pretty big in Australia too, so that's kind of cool, uh, to know that.

But the, um, yeah, I, I grew up drag racing and, you know, I showed interest in any kind of motor sports between NASCAR, drag racing, all that stuff.

My parents used to take me to Monster Jam all the time as a kid.

[laughs] Yep.

So it, the question is, what's the one thing you wish existed in motor sports when you were younger? Junior dragsters.

Yeah.

Did you ever race junior dragsters?

I did.

Really?

Oh, wow.

Yeah.

Yep, yep.

as far as how, how early it is too early to start, I can tell you right now, my little boy just turned four and there is absolutely no way right now that I would put him into junior dragster.

He thinks, so I just got him a, I got him a little 50 CC four wheeler.

And, uh, the story on that is, is I, I was like, until you show interest in this four wheeler, I'm sure not going to buy you a junior dragster.

Those things are too expensive anymore.

They're not a home built thing like they were whenever I was little.

And at the same time, expect your ups and your downs.

I don't really have an answer to your question when it's too young.

I don't know, again, I don't know if you know what drag racing is, quarter mile racing.

The Ford Racing Division had this thing called Junior Dragsters.

So because I was in karting, did the Junior Dragsters, moved up the ranks.

And then through that whole process, because of my music background, like everybody did in the late 60s, early 70s, everybody put a band together.

Right.
