Jungfrau

The nearest thing I can liken it to on earth is the view of the Alps from some of the Swiss mountains.

I have seen something a little like it when I rested once on the summit of Jungfrau and looked upon the chains of Alpine peaks on Eiger, the Wetterhorn, and far off Mont Blanc.

Peak upon peak, chain upon chain opened to my view.

But the absence of the ring shape of the mountains marks the difference between the mountain lands of the earth and those of the moon.

Again I saw the familiar lines of the continents and oceans expanding before me.

Again I saw the lights of earth's cities.

We directed our course to the tall white cliffs of the Jungfrau.

At length we reached them, and once more I stood upon the rocks of earth, amid the ice and snow and rock of Europe's greatest mountains.

They are overwhelmed with splendor of all that is immaculate and inaccessible.

Alas! What if the Jungfrau were hungry? Favorite, having been in England, was admired by Dahlia and Zephine.

Um, well, sadly for me, my season was cut short this year, so last I was in Wengen in, uh, January.

Um, and, uh, it was actually the first time I skied the Jungfrau, um, even though it's a really massive part of, uh, kind of Ski Club and Ski Club history.

Um, and I loved it.

So, um, yeah, but I'm, I'm really ready to get back on skis, so, um, roll on December.

Jungfrau, fantastic, uh, area.

I've been out skiing out there a few times before, uh, Mürren and Wengen.

And did you try the new Eiger Express lift while you were there?

The view was absolutely incredible.

You see different mountains, the Eiger, the Jungfrau, the valleys, the glaciers, and you're thinking, "There is no way that this is real life." But oh, there we were, and it was real.

After coming back down from the Royal Walk, I wanted to take another path down, a two-mile hike to a town called Kleine Scheidegg instead of just taking the gondola down.

It's a scenic hike along the ridge with spectacular views of the mountains, but then the clouds began to overtake the mountains and what was supposed to be a perfect hike, it was amazing, but the clouds interrupted the view just a bit.
