Well, I also wanted to add, I guess, that fungi, I remember when there was a controversy over whether fungi were actual commensals versus just passing through.

June RoundGUEST
And I never understood why there was a controversy because even when things are passing through, they can have effects.

June RoundGUEST
And I think people like now think Saccharomyces is one of these organisms that we just acquire environmentally.

June RoundGUEST
But the pet store mice example is interesting, but there's also the Ken Codwell's group where they, like, let these laboratory mice go out into an enclosure.

June RoundGUEST
And one of the major things that they acquire from their environment is fungi and all of these kind of interesting fungi that they're probably getting from, you know, the grass and the plants.

June RoundGUEST
So I guess I just wanted to add that we're also being exposed through what we eat to a lot of different fungi.

And do you have any idea of potential metabolites that are produced by those eukaryotes in our guts? What do you think?
