Do you end up watching the Julie Mehretu show?

She won the LVMH prize.

And these bendy straw shapes in your paintings very often seem torn from Marden's and reduced to a very small thing in a much more interesting, larger painting.

And I'll just leave that there and m- move on to ask, and, and this is a good time to do it, you paint a lot of corporate logos, kind of a la Julie Mehretu in her great 2004 Stadia triptych, which is full of, um, international logos referencing corporatism, globalism, and the Olympics.

Why do you like including very obvious, very familiar corporate logos, whether it's kind of the Yale University Press marker on the spine of a book or a Keystone Light label?

All of the logos that I paint are of things that I, I have direct familiarity with.
