Two North Dakota Republicans are introducing bicameral legislation aimed at improving healthcare and saving Medicare costs in hyper-rural America.

Senator John Hoeven and Representative Julie Fedorchak said the bill would extend by five years the Frontier Community Health Integration Project.

The program develops and tests healthcare delivery and reimbursement models for critical access hospitals, which are, quote, "lifelines for rural families," Fedorchak says.

Co-sponsors of the Senate bill are GOP Senators Kevin Cramer of North Dakota, Tim Schahinger of, uh... and Steve Davis, both of Montana.
