Julie, tell me what Brooks Brigade is.

Brooks Brigade is a brand new nonprofit.

We originally started it as a organization for policy change.

It was just a grassroots Facebook group.

When our daughter died by suicide in April of 2024, we immediately started it because she had gone in for help because she felt suicidal and had a not great experience in the emergency department.

Because she was over the age of 14, but under the age of 18, she had say in if she was admitted to the hospital or not, and she didn't want to go, so we weren't allowed to admit her.

So immediately after she passed away, we started focusing on the policy, changing that policy.
