And so I'm immensely grateful that he's agreed to come and talk to me today.

I'm delighted to welcome Julian Glover CBE.

Well, I'm delighted to be here.

I noted that, uh, you were at school with, uh, very good contemporaries.

Uh-

Julian Glover.

I, uh, good.

I mean, it's same, sort of s- sort of the same thing where, where, you know, there's, you know, there's nothing...

It's funny-

I love that effect.

Yeah, Julian Glover is the bad guy in For Your Eyes Only.

Yes.

I mean, for me, the biggest problem with your eyes only is is the villains just aren't very exciting.

And, you know, Julian Glover is an amazing actor who I've worked with a number of times and adore.

But the characterization of villains just misses that sort of, you know, what we expect from a Bond movie.

Similarly, Living Daylights.

Like, that, that final scene of, "I've forgotten how to read," um, it, it's absolutely brilliant.

But I'm also a fan of one of his earlier scenes in which he first, uh, meets Blake, and instead of going through the usual sort of paddy drama of the stuff we got with, uh, Julian Glover in the first series where, you know, we spend 20 minutes establishing who Blake and Avon are, and then having to threaten him, there's just a wonderful scene in this one where Blake turns up, Dr. Belfry knows exactly who he is, and just kind of goes, "Yeah, well, we wouldn't know anything about that, would we?" And carries on.

Like, the episode's just able to get on with it without five minutes of, "You're Blake, aren't you?" Um, it's, it's, it's a great, it's a great way of getting around that and just sort of letting us get on with the interesting and action-packed episode.

But it's also just a great little moment for the character as well.

I'm an actor, and I had the great pleasure of playing a villain in a Bond film, For Your Eyes Only, and I had a great pleasure doing that, and I hope you've enjoyed that film and many others that I've done, too.

So i- it's interesting, that, and Julian Glover does both roles really well, and thinking about Kristatos, I do, I do really like him.

he's played by Julian Glover.

He's a Greek smuggler, and he's trying to get this sort of code-cracking device to sell to the

Soviets.

Okay, they started with 298.

And then it became 298 with Julian Glover.

Okay.

Who then died.
