Judith McNaught

That's really interesting.

I really want to follow up with another question, something that I had thought about quite a bit as I read through like Judith McNaught, Jude Devereaux.

Gosh, I'm missing some others.

I think Garwood might have done this too, but these authors started really in historicals and then like late 80s, maybe 80s.

So looking at I've got a full shelf with the complete works of Joanna Lindsay.

I also have everything by Julie Garwood, everything by Jude Devereaux and everything by Judith McNaught.

it's i've read one judith mcnaught i've read one joanna lindsey um but i can't and there's i have a judever that i got it i used book sale somewhere on one of my shelves like that i picked up that i've not actually read yet um the older ones i absolutely love them and i love the amount of historical deep like they're really like mine are very sort of like fluffy like modern feeling historicals those older ones they are really historical it's really interesting um the gender politics of them sometimes troubles me.

Yes, but it's the

gender politics.

Like I really didn't venture outside of my comfort zone this summer.

I reread Paradise by Judith McNaught because I was talking about it with someone and I'm like, it is the far superior second chance romance.

It's the best one that's ever been written.

Well, and you were in a pretty big slump for a while.
