Juan Cabada

It's going to be our first look at him.

We're also going to see Juan Cabada.

Juan Cabada was a big IFA guy.

The Cubs called up.

He is very young.

We very rarely see players like Juan Cabada go straight to the AFL.

He is 18 years old.

He's not even 19 years old.

And so, uh, Back to the list that Arizona Phil produced and that he has a hunch as to who's going to be included.

So Juan Cabada is one of the names, infielder for the Myrtle Beach Pelicans.

John Cabral, who is a guy that is a pitcher.

He ended the year in Myrtle Beach.

And he's a guy that relies pretty heavily on that curve ball.

So I'm excited to see if he can succeed despite a little less break on that curve ball while playing down in Arizona.

The next guy I've got on my list here that Arizona Phil points out that might be heading down to Arizona fall league is Juan Cabada, who we saw one, a good chunk of Juan Cabada down in Myrtle beach to end like for the second half of the year, he ended with a OPS of six 36, not super impressive, but he also wasn't walking like at all.

The OPS plus was eight, 87 for that Carolina adjusted to the Carolina league.

I think that's a really, really good sign.

Now, you asked specifically about the defense, and I've gone back and I've watched a little bit, and I still think there's a lot of work to be done, but unlike a few of the other guys that are listed as shortstops in the system, and we'll kind of talk about Juan Cabada and Juan Tomas and stuff like that, I think Cepeda could potentially still keep being a shortstop.

And it may be a situation in which you kind of see like a Jefferson Rojas situation play out in a couple of years or even next year or whatever, where it just kind of forces himself off of it.

You know, the body develops, the lateral mobility and agility just doesn't quite line up anymore.

I mean, I think that there's... a profile of players that could continue to succeed on that, you should be excited.

I think that the Cubs organization is going to need players like that.

I mean, we talked about Miguel earlier, but they're going to need like Juan Tomas, Juan Cabada, Cepeda, you know, probably even more breakouts.

They're going to need Miles Bailey, Caden Terrell to have success in It's going to help that system.
