And it was really through his connections with the Reeds that he met this wider group of artists.

And they include some really bold young contemporary artists, Joy Hester, Arthur Boyd, Albert Tucker, John Percival.

And this group of artists were just really like Nolan.

intent on artistic change on sort of pushing the boundaries and also responding to a world and all that it brought up that was at war as well so they felt the need for change cultural change was you know was pressing and urgent as well and this is really reflected in their art.

And even if it's an adaptation of something known, it's done through an Australian writer's very unique perspective of that.

But one of the main ones was I developed a play called Sunday with a Melbourne theatre company with a writer, Anthony Way, And it was about Sunday Reid and Sydney Nolan and Joy Hester.

And it was developed over COVID.

So it took a very long time to come to fruition.
