Joy Electric

Tried to be honest Tried to be everything that you ever wanted I tried to be stronger Tried to be smarter Tried to be

A moment ago, Joy Electric did their thing with Blink-182's Miss You.

And we just heard Grace Graber and Audiophile, who joined together to cover Hawk Nelson's Everything You Ever Wanted.

It seems unreal that the original song is now two decades old.

When you put everything together, um, it's always so boring for me to go back and do things like count those things, but it's somewhere in that range.

Uh, when you think ba- when you go back years for all the, the Joy Electric albums and even before that, and then now, you know, I'm doing all these solo albums, and there's all kinds of stuff in between those things.

It's a, it's a patchwork quilt for sure.

And, um, but right now, what I've been doing the last five years is when I, when I kinda rebuilt my studio, um, there was a bit of a resurgence there with, uh, recording And decided I wanted to do records under my name because everything else I do, you know, with writing and these types of things, is under my name.

So I thought, you know, I, I don't wanna, I don't wanna remain with the Joy Electric moniker, but I wanna just kinda let this be a solo project.

Joy Electric was a solo project, but it w- just had a name.

Um, and I thought, you know, let me just embrace my name and, um, it'll have a little more, uh, continuity with everything else I'm doing.

So that's why my last, you know, uh, two solo albums and three Christmas albums have all just been under the, the Ronnie Martin name.

Yeah, ta- talk about working with, uh, Cloud again and then let's go into, into that first, uh, full length.

Okay.

So th- they're kinda one in the same, right? So, so Cloud and I go back to where, I mean, m- one of the first tours I ever did when I was, like, 22 maybe, like, was with Joy Electric and Morelos Forest.

And, um-
