Big picture, I think because of what preaching is.

Preaching is central to the well-being of the people of God.

We need to hear God speak.

We need God's direction in our life.

We need to sit at the feet of Jesus and listen to him.

Preaching is central to the well-being of the people of God, and women are the people of God.
