Worth mentioning, most of the content in this episode comes from a study I just completed with colleagues on the fruit of the Spirit published in the Journal of Psychology and Christianity.

To start this podcast, I'd like to ask a few opening questions.

2:23Joshua KnabbHOST
What are the four immeasurables and where do they come from? What role do they play in mental health? What practices can we use to cultivate the four measurables? What does the science say about them as an intervention for mental health? What overlap exists, if any, between the four measurables and the fruit of the Spirit? And finally, as Christians, what Christian-derived practices can we employ to maintain a greater awareness of the fruit for mental and spiritual health? And what does the science say about these Christian practices? Before moving on to secular, psychological, and Christian perspectives on these overlapping virtues, though, I'd like to tell a quick personal story.
