Jothan Msibi

It was mentioned by Kate Mokala.

Uh, he, he did say that he introduced him to that, uh, taxi boss, Jotham Msibi.

And, and, and the whole stuff that happened with the, at the Temisa Hospital.

So sh- surely, if this guy's name is mentioned, the con- well, two things must happen.

but that rather there is, through these WhatsApp messages, there's revealed to be a very complicated operational architecture on how the criminal networks succeed in not only consuming each other, but in gathering data, information and intelligence that they can then deploy in a strategic fashion to make power moves within their underworld ecosystem.

Because you look at the Msibi matter alone, the fact that they had enough information and access to individuals who used to report to Msibi, and these people now saw Sivagnoni and Sindani as the successors to Jotham Msibi's effectively as head of the big five cartel, indicates that the commission, I think, has barely even scratched the surface on what the activities relating to these individuals are.

And so, yeah, it's going to be very interesting to see what Bafana Sindani, during his cross-examination at the Matlanga Commission of Inquiry, what he has to say in the face of these WhatsApp messages, but not just him, but also Joe Ferrari-Sibagnoni.

Now, the commission did today stop the proceedings after having had this evidence flighted, and they will be resuming at 9.30 tomorrow.
