Today we're joined by Drew Remke, the Vice President of Engagement for Pioneers USA.

Pioneers is a global movement of over 3,000 missionaries from over 100 countries seeking to glorify God by planting churches among the least reached places on the planet.

Then others are like, we actually have a few hundred believers in our city, and we're really, this is the way that we're approaching seeing churches planted.

I think it naturally filters a little more towards some theological streams that kind of come together within that.

Yeah, so like for Joshua Project, in our statement of belief, we are theologically and missiologically neutral.

And God has used them in a phenomenal way.

And the Joshua Project and the information they supply is used by every mission agency in the world.

He's going to be one of our speakers.

In fact, John was a devoted Christian missionary, committed to bringing the word of Jesus to all those who had not heard of it.

But why was he so obsessed with the sentinels? According to a New York Times poll, at high school he had come to know about their existence by reading the Joshua Project, a website of missionaries in which the Sentinels were presented as the most unreachable people on the planet.

A great challenge for a young enthusiast missionary.

He began to prepare for the journey, receiving medical training, exercising with long excursions and four trips to the Andaman Islands, started three years before the final expedition.

There's a site called the Joshua Project, which is a non-profit Christian ministry focused on gathering and distributing information about ethnic groups with the least access to the gospel.

And it's been running since 1995.

And what it does is it catalogs the ethnic groups of the world and ranks them by how much Christianity has reached them.

So if you believe that you've been handed the job of reaching every people group on earth, this is where you go to find out who's left.

And here's how John described what happened next.

He said, And in an archived version of that page from the Joshua Project, it's from 2014, most of it is a sort of a half-informed encyclopedia entry type stuff.

It says things like they're dark-skinned, they're tallish, they hunt and they fish, they build large houses with no sidewalls, and they love coconuts.
