The area felt a lot more connected to humanity than what I'd seen around my hotel, unpretentious and practical with ramen shops and what looked to be college students dressed casually, not Elisa Vanderpump in sight.

Eventually, I circled back to the original address, poked my head in through an open front door to ask for directions, and was met by Mr. Apatow's head of development and production, Josh Church.

There was no fancy reception area, no receptionist.

Josh greeted me warmly with a great big friendly smile and said that Judd was just finishing a writer's meeting.

A dinky nook? It wasn't a whole room.

When I turned the machine on, it bellowed out a horrible, loud grinding noise like a jackhammer that immediately got the attention of Judd Apatow and his team of young writers who would have obviously been handpicked local comedians.

He popped his head out of a nearby door and I froze in shame.

So I can't actually remember what he said or if he said anything.

And they were kind enough.

Allison, And Josh Church, who was the main producer, like I was dealing with, on the other guys.

And then a guy named Michael Lerman, who was the line producer on the other movie, they would humor me to try and let me work it out the dates.

Like, hey, can we move? I got the day out of days from the other movie, The Life As We Know It, and I'm sending him emails or texts like, hey, what if we switch this scene around? What if we switch that scene around? and he was humoring me, but, and I realized how difficult it is once they have a movie set.

And I happen to have a friend who was like the head scout for the Lakers, head international scout.

So I could get great seats for face value.

So that year, Adam McKay and Josh Church went to like three playoff games.

And I told Josh, I was like, I'm getting you these tickets in exchange.

What we always start out, we have a couple of folks, Ian Palmer, a leadership advisor, came in and helped coaches on what they can do to lead their teams better.

Then we got into the hottest coach maybe in college basketball, Josh Church, St. Louis University, was spectacular.
