And what they did in the second half was they would rush Daly and Osen Sammi up on the edges, but they wouldn't overrun it, and they would keep Tucker and Landino or Yelly or whoever was in there.

Burnham was in there for a while at defensive tackle.

They would keep them in the middle, and that meant that And Calandria no longer had the ability on almost every one of those drives to roam the way he was, scramble, use the wide side of the field.

If he was going to run, he was going to run to the other side, the short side of the field, or he was going to have to run straight forward.

Amari Farrell with nine total tackles in this one.

Byron Baldwin had a sack.

Josh Burnham had a sack.

Jabari Sharp collects an interception, had two passes defended.

Tobie Ansah-Sami played 35, Stephen Daly played 27.

And then Kellen Wyatt is right there as well alongside Josh Burnham.

I think those two guys will be the first ones off the bench along with Chidie Obuzie as well.

It is a healthy rotation on the outside for Indiana, and that's where Daniel Ndukwe will shuffle in somehow some way.

But man, they've got a lot to clean up after last week.

Last year against Stanford, Notre Dame executed one of the best fake punts of the Marty Biagi era, when former defensive end Josh Burnham threw the ball downfield to Luke Talge, who ran in 84 yards for a touchdown.

So I expect the Cardinal to be on the lookout for some trickery this time around.

But this week, Notre Dame does not need any trick plays or blocked punts or really anything like that to beat Stanford.

We haven't seen the best of Chidi Obiezo yet, I don't think.

We haven't seen the best out of Josh Burnham yet.

We haven't seen the best necessarily out of Elijah Hardy even so far on the season.

So the pieces are there for this Indiana defense and this game, granted, against Rutgers, but against a Rutgers squad that racked a lot of yards up against what is pretty uniformly recognized now as a bad defense in USC.

You've got Steven Daly.

You've got Toby Unsunsami, Chidio Beazor, and Josh Burnham.

And of course, Kellen Wyatt is rotating in there as well.

And I think what's so...

Toby Unsensami has really come on strong in terms of his just speed off the edge.

Chidio Beazor is able to kind of go inside and out.

Josh Burnham has been that guy because...

I feel like he is still waiting for the breakout game, and that we know Kellen Wyatt.

So how do you fit daily, especially into that mix? And do you start to see Wyatt perhaps popping up more in a linebacking position? I think that's going to be an interesting thing to watch.

The other thing to keep in mind, obviously, is Josh Burnham and Joe Yelly.

Both of them have played pretty well so far.

Burnham especially has been, I think, quite impressive in all of the things that he's done.

Daniel and Duke way had a tough day.

According to pro football focus, just a 55.2 Josh Burnham at 65.6.

I think that's fine.

Nobody graded extremely high other than Chitty or Toby on Sonsami.

He only played 18 snaps against Howard last week, so I would expect him to be a primary backup a beneficiary, if you will, or a primary replacement for Stephen Daly not being in that rotation.

Keep your eye out for Josh Burnham in there as well.

Somebody that I don't think is being talked about enough for Indiana, but I think he's going to see his snap count increase.

He had 15 snaps a week ago against Howard.

We're still looking to see Blake Smith really step on in full effect a little bit later on, potentially this week, but very, very soon.

Josh Burnham is a name that comes to mind who we spoke to after the game that I really like and don't think is necessarily spoken about as much just because, again, there's so many great players in this area of the field for the Indiana defense.

And yeah, it's going to be a problem for Western Kentucky.

It's going to be a problem for Northwestern.

It's going to be a problem for teams across the board as Indiana looks to disrupt or wreck the backfield and disrupt offenses across the board.

One of the things to keep an eye on with Josh Burnham, he's out there on special teams all the time.

He's on the kick return blocking team and really looks like a guy who's very interested in making his mark for this Indiana squad this year, which is great news because, I mean, that's a guy who kind of got buried a little bit on the depth chart at Notre Dame.
