... as well, we s- we had Giorgi on the bench, um, and Josh Atencio on the bench, who are kind of, you know, players that we had consistently been seeing, um, out there.

So, uh, interesting dynamic there.

We still had H- um, Hamzat at the, you know, our, our defensive midfielder, and then between Filip and Frederick kind of, you know, filling in those, uh, the other attacking midfielders, which I thought was an interesting role for Donovan Phillip.

So I would think, you know, it's funny because – That was a game that, again, we thought we'd see Georgie Menungo.

We thought we'd see Josh Atencio in this one.

Neither are starting for Colorado.

Which, if I'm coaching those two players, that was a point that Brian brought up as well, that, hey, those guys are going to be highly motivated to be going against their former team.

Josh Atencio is still not completing passes at a rate that I think is acceptable.

Although he covers a lot of ground and he, he blocks a lot of balls.

That's pretty good.

You know? Their, their 4-2-3-1 is, is more about creating passing triangles and so on.

I kinda think that Matt Wells needs to have these guys go destroyer.

He needs Hamza Al-Dujaylan to be Hamza Al-Dujaylan full-blown destroyer, and then he needs Josh Atencio to sniff whatever Hamza's sniffing in the, in the locker room and do some of that.

And then he needs the fullbacks to sniff whatever Hamza's doing and do more of that.

So...

That's one area specifically, Josh, I'm a little bit more concerned about in the second half sort of malaise that we've seen.

I'm not again, it's not, you know, existential, but we can be a little greedy at this point.

I mean, can't we?

Still coached by Matt Wells, has taken them to be more of a possession type, circulation type team.

High tempo, has really engineered this team and the attack following the deadline and departure of some of their key players.

But again, look for this team to want possession, but They are going to look to kind of circulate between the goalkeeper, Nico Hansen, and their center backs, Rob Holding and Williams, to bait in the press, bait in some pressure and release to some of their playmakers and O'Hadrian and Josh Atencio, Paxton Aronson as well on this team.

They will get some width.

And, like, after the goal, man, I think we can jump to the 44th minute because, like you said, Austin loses any momentum you could have argued that they had after the goal.

And, like... not blaming anybody that's in attendance.

But I'd much rather be drowned out by a raucous crowd of fans that love the same team that I love than being able to tell Nico Hansen that I hate him.

We see four minutes of stoppage given here in the first half.

In that last minute of the first half, yellow card to Josh Atencio for kicking up into the chest of John Gallagher, which I was much more upset about in the moment than after I saw the replay this morning where there wasn't a ton of malice in that.

Scoring goals in professional soccer is extremely hard.

If you're taking one of those attacking spots and getting minutes, to me, it's a different calculation than like a six or an eight like Danny Leyva or Josh Atencio.

I don't want, like, endless minutes just because you're young and interesting and you do some cool, fun stuff in a while.

You need to do things that lead to goals.
