Josh Abbott

Kevin Fowler, Aaron Watson, just to name a few.

Josh Abbott, doing the Texas music thing.

I thought I was just gonna, you just did the thing down in Texas and you got discovered.

And Nashville was gonna come down to you.

Ugh.

Josh Abbott, William Clark Green.

Wow.

And then-

You're one of the first artists that I remember.

You and Josh were probably the first two artists I heard and really became fans and Man, it's just such a it's such a great Texas country music is so I became so involved.

I bought six radio stations and about to buy two more.

And we play nothing but Texas country music.

It takes all the pressure off having to try to make all your shows in Texas.

It's getting tough.

I was talking to some guys earlier about how many – venues how many festivals have gone away in texas that were staples i mean for for decades you know and that was places where you know i think that's one of the downfalls of maybe all this tiktok and and the viral sensation of things it's like it's it's lost you've lost the uh ability for a band to go out and make it like go on, go on shows and go open shows for us or Randy or, or Josh or Pat and these guys and all these venues that used to have support spots.

So you'd go get in front of, you know, a packed house, play your songs, sell your t-shirts, meet people and build a real fan base.

...

Josh Abbott.

Yeah.

And I mean, the, it just, all people that I've been blessed enough to call friends for years.
