But... 20 felony indictments right like this isn't a one off this isn't even a five off if you want to like really give people the benefit of the doubt and the fact that it extended to three other individuals who were aware enough that it rose to the level of hey you actually failed to do your mandatory reporting so we do have like something that we can indict you on or arrest you on and a crime that we can kind of accuse you of.

Even going up, so like that's in the public school, so that's your K-12 system, right? Going up to the college level on the other side of the country, California State University in 2022, their former chancellor, Joseph Castro, ended up having to resign from mishandling a sexual harassment case in Fresno State.

So this is another case of someone who was unable to handle one of these cases properly in another institution of higher education, ended up getting a promotion or moving into a larger system, and then being asked by the board of trustees or the regents to go ahead and leave the position because of what they found out later.

And For those who maybe aren't aware, higher education, especially leadership positions, it's a pretty small world, right? There might be a lot of colleges and universities, but there's only so many people that are kind of viewed as qualified for these types of positions.

But he was making Chancellor money, right? He mishandled something to such a degree that he was asked to resign by the board.

And yet he still was able to collect quite a large paycheck for a period of time before having to leave.

Whether or not Joseph Castro is still working in higher education, I'm not entirely sure, and it's not super relevant for this conversation.

It's a rabbit hole we don't really need to go down.
