And then how did Access Capital get started?

Well, you know, there was a, a very fortunate turn of events for me about 10 years into my career.

One of the institutional accounts I covered was a firm called Investcorp, which was one of the early players in what was back then called leveraged buyouts.

And one of the founders of Investcorp took a liking to me and asked me to join him as his first partner.

So I moved from, uh, you know, being on the wealth management side, jumped right into private equity.

I spent the next seven years as the right-hand guy to a pretty famous leveraged buyout guy.

And that really, you know, got me into private equity, and went on to acquire a number of businesses.
