This final iteration of Uncovered.

features the string quartets from the composer known as Joseph Bologna Chevalier de Saint-Georges, which included not only recording his music, but literally creating the performable scores of his music from scratch.

Because in addition to this music not having been recorded, it hadn't been published or really preserved for folks in the industry to be able to enjoy, to be able to document and perform.

Carla and I, our chat even goes beyond the recording studio and the specific work of writing down this music and getting it recorded.

She also reminds all of us that representation isn't just an industry buzzword, or at least it shouldn't be.

It's the spark that lights the fire for so many people, myself included, Carla included.

and the many people who get to now enjoy the historic music of this Black composer, Joseph Bologna, Chevalier de Saint-Georges, who hasn't always gotten the attention that he deserves.

I believe there's a movie or a series about him.
