Riders that are, let's say, they're not coming up as a Marc Marquez or someone like that, a Jorge Lorenzo, a Danny Pedroza, a Rossi, someone who obviously you would just sign whatever their nationality.

There can only be one winner in the sport, can't there? So then you have to look at all these other factors and decide who you want in your team.

And for each team, it's going to be a different thing.

And I may have said this on the podcast before, but wouldn't Acosta versus Rossi, if they were slightly more similar ages, have been... hilarious brilliant and maybe a little bit terrifying as well Simon

I still think next year is going to be stupendous and I can't wait to see the two of them go head to head in the same bike because it will there will be Rossi versus Lorenzo teammate battles next year at some points between the two of these guys there absolutely will because we can see what Acosta is doing in the KTM we can see how talented he is and and Mark's never had a teammate like that.

I mean, maybe Danny Pedroza in the first few days, but Danny's not a killer.

Danny's a very calculated writer.

Danny Pedroza is not Mark Marquez, essentially, whereas Pedro Acosta is very close to being Mark Marquez at this age.

And that's just going to be so good.

if Mark went to Yamaha to go up against peak Jorge Lorenzo then I think we would have that would have been something like this I think but instead obviously it wasn't peak Lorenzo and he went to the Honda and didn't agree with it at all and retired immediately that was the the one opportunity I think we just, we have to pause and stop for a second and just think we are very lucky that this is how the rider market has played out.

This guy is amazing, a tremendous rider.

With American Colin Edwards finishing third, Rossi now leads the championship, and this was his 90th victory, tying him for second with Spanish rider Angel Nieto.

So actually that follows quite nicely on from that question then, Si, 'cause, um, obviously riders that finish their professional riding careers, there isn't like a, a definite path for them to, to follow.

I guess if you are not like a, a Valentino Rossi or a Jorge Lorenzo, then you kind of do have to find a bit of a steer and a direction, and you have carved out the most unique career path post-riding really ever.

You can't really compare it to anybody else, I don't think.

Maybe Loris Capirossi a bit, but yeah, you've had such a unique career to date.
