Jordan Stephens

Huh.

So Star Wars actor Jordan Stephens says he declined to return in his Disney+ series Andor after being told to cut off his dreadlocks to assure his appearance looked realistic.

Stephens, better known of half of the UK rap duo Rizzle Kicks.

I know, James.

I've just, um, found out that this is the 260th episode of Miss Me and Listen Bitch, so whatever half of 260 is, 130.

This is the 130th episode of Listen Bitch, and if this is your first ever listen to Listen Bitch, how would you describe Listen Bitch, Jordan, to a new person? To that whole new world that you wanna talk to, how do you tell an alien what Listen Bitch is?

It's a themed Q&A.

That's it.

Today's theme is lies.

Bloody lies, and how we tell them and why we tell them.

Hey, McKeefa and Jordan.

It's Vanessa from East London.

You know, with telly, there's, like, constant breaks and constant, like-

Yeah, maybe in the old days, Jordan.

[laughs]

What do you mean?

And, and also I started to feel that it was our, we were in service, and it was our fucking duty to talk about these things.

Right.

And what happens, I think, as a woman, is that you, you get so bogged down in how, s- how many of these stories that you hear and how many cases, that after a while, it just gets so fucking heavy to talk about it, Jordan.

Yeah, no, I, I know.

right? Including Ed Sheeran.

Jordan Stephens is a rapper, podcaster and actor best known as one half of the British hip-hop duo Rizzle Kicks.

During the 2010s, they had a string of top 10 hits, while Stevens has since built a career across television and film, including an appearance in Rogue One, a Star Wars story.

He is also an activist and outspoken advocate on issues including Palestine, mental health, toxic masculinity and addiction.

So much going on this week.

From Jordan's Dr. Martens campaign to the BBC, I mean, where the... where should we begin? We should probably remind everyone that we are on YouTube.

Miss Me is on YouTube.

Uh, Miss Me is also on Instagram, where it's always been.

Yeah, I've...

I actually just remembered, I've got to sen- I've got to sen-

Jordan mostly runs that side.

I don't run that side, but I did forget to send a very important email that I've just remembered about TikTok.

Yeah.

We've got Jordan Stephens on the phone.

Hello Chloe.

Yes.

Fuck Holly Candy, fuck Nick Candy.

Your opinions matter, Jordan.

Look, you went bloody viral last week with your opinions.

I thought it was very interesting seeing the reaction to all of that, actually.

Obviously, people assume that I am...

That it's contextualizing my response is, like, my friendship with him.

Jordan, politics in friendships is fucking murky.

There's stuff going on in our family with it right now.
