Jordan Shaw

They love throwing the ball over the middle of the field quick.

And so I think that it's a big game for Jordan Shaw and Bravian Rogers, who had a great game last week.

And then also our safeties and our linebackers, particularly the boundary safety, Marcus Ratcliffe, because they do like to run the ball under the boundary.

So can he come downhill and make that tackle? There was so much talk about all these people.

It's actually something that we talked about in show number one is we talked about how many guys that we were seeing on the field, right? Like everybody thinks about the starter, right? Who's going to be the starter? Who's going to be that guy who's going to be out there getting most of the snaps, right? Like 80, 90% of the snaps, especially when we're talking about the defensive side of the ball.

And you're looking at the screen during the game and you're kind of like, oh my gosh, that's Jordan Shaw out there.

Oh wait, is that Ricky Gibson out there? Like I'm having trouble keeping up with how many guys that are out there that are getting into the rotation, which is a great thing.

And in the first show that we did yesterday, yesterday's episode, we talked about that, about how many guys that Mike Elko has brought in and how many battles there were in the preseason and just how, hey, you're going to hear this common refrain on this episode.

We're going to be all right.

If you got Julio Humphrey on that side, you're going to be all right.

And you're going to be fine, too, if you got Ricky Gibson in there or Jordan Shaw or any of these guys.

Some of these other guys we haven't even seen yet, like Tawfiq Byard, who was getting a lot of play in the preseason from Colorado.

Some other ones, too.

Jordan Shaw.

Hey, you mentioned him.

We were talking pre-show.

Jordan Shaw, look at him showing up on the stat sheet.

He's getting a bunch of snaps, too.

So I think there's going to be a lot of rotation and some guys who maybe folks thought were going to be a little bit in the background this season who actually might be getting a lot of play and getting a lot of snaps.

He's in the wrong position.

He said, that's what we get from playing together with Dalton, with Jordan Shaw at safety.

The only reason why Jordan Shaw didn't play safety a lot last year was Tyreek Chappelle, who also came back to play with Mike.

Julio Humphrey, I like on the one side.

I like Des Ricks on the other side.

He just looked like he got off the bus as a high schooler and just never flinched when he got into college, right? Like he just never – like it never seemed too big for him.

He didn't care if it was Des Ricks, Julio Humphrey, Jordan Shaw.

He was ready to line up and go toe-to-toe.

And those are the kids I think you guys see it better than I do, but you can just see when a dude's built different.
