Jordaan

This was my first husband and I.

We, we, uh, we survived a, a bomb that exploded in our car in the, in the heart of the Jordaan here in Amsterdam, which is a place where there's cafes on the corners and people bring their children to school, and cute little houses with loving families, and no place for any bombs to go off.

And he lost both his legs, and I lost my, my second child.

I was actually on the way to the doctor with a bottle of little morning urine to do an official test after a home test.

Yes.

It's the Jordaan neighborhood, which is a very nice neighborhood.

But in between that time I thought, "Why don't I go out and explore a little bit and see what I could see in the Jordaan neighborhood and the canals while I'm waiting?" So I went to Jordaan neighborhood.

I went to some of the iconic streets that I'm not even going to try to pronounce because they're very difficult, one, and number two, it doesn't matter.

I mean, I, I, what a beautiful...

I, I lived in the Jordaan, which is the garden district.

Um, I lived on a canal, one of the smaller spoke canals, in an old warehouse that was built in 1635 called De Pelikan.

You know, I loved it.
