Jontez Williams

It seems like the talent's good enough across the board.

I like their corners, you know, Jontez Williams and Jason Johnson, and then working Rock Hill in there.

We got to see some of the guys, even when Desmond Stevens come out, some other, you know, Jane Walker or even like Elijah Newby coming in.

I think there's enough talent there.

I know.

He should have done what Jontez Williams did.

That was fun watching him fly around for USC the other

night.

Yeah.

Now, look, Jontez Williams is a fantastic football player.

He really is, and he's played a lot of football, and he's very good.

You're in a fourth and two.

But what's beautiful too, that last inter- that last fumble was great too.

Jontez Williams was talking his shit, and I'm like, I saw the play where he locked down Brett Escalon and he stares right to the Penn State sideline [laughs] and it was amazing.

So you're telling me that what's crazy is Abu Sama and Jontez Williams are now two and O against their former team.

We are very, very happy for both of them.

Oh, that is beautiful.

So, yeah, things look good for Devin Bryant.

Jontez Williams looked good.

He had a big pass breakup.

Took it right to the edge, but didn't get a call on pass interference, and that's – That's how you want a physical corner to play, right? Like take it to the edge, but don't get called for it.

That's what the truth is.

He's not as good as Jontez Williams because no one else on the roster is.

He's behind Albert Hill, behind Jason Johnson, and behind Marcellus Williams.

He is playing a ton.

Like Marcellus Williams is not playing a ton of snaps.

He's playing less than 10 snaps probably per game defensively.

It's been basically the main three have been Rock Hill, Jason Johnson, and Jontez Williams.

And they're allowing those guys to rotate in kind of a consistent rotation, whereas I thought it would be Jontez Williams and maybe you rotate at the other spot.

Dom Orange is playing on Sundays for the 4 and 0 Minnesota Vikings.

Jontez Williams isn't there.

He was their best corner.

He's at USC now.

He almost

got picked off by Jontez on that crazy catch for, was it

Johnson who made it? It was Johnson.

Yeah, I think it was.

I think it was Messiah Johnson who made the toe catch there.

And, yeah, if Jontez is a little deeper, he probably picks that ball off.

He kind of stumbled, I think, on that jump, which didn't help him.

But certainly those are the throws you want to force.

We'll leave it at that.

Also, by the way, Jontez Williams was an absolute monster as well for USC against Oregon.

Really great pickup from Iowa State.

One of the few Iowa State transfers that had a great day today.
