So when did you actually start playing the guitar?

I was about 13.

I remember I had...

My uncle had had one laying around, and I remember trying to kind of pick on it, and I had no idea what I was doing.

And about 13, I really got into Nirvana and Pearl Jam and Smashing Pumpkins and that whole 90s explosion.

And I really started playing guitar.

My mom...

When did you start taking this thing on the road and playing live?

Right.

So yeah, it is an odd, for us, an odd beginning.

But I think part of what the genealogy is doing, it's doing a lot of things, but part of it is that if you go back to the first book of the Old Testament, to Genesis, you'll see that the first, in the first 11 chapters, which is the real kind of initial part of Genesis, 'cause in chapter 12 of Genesis is when Abraham appears, and that kind of sets the whole redemption story in motion.

But the first 11 chapters repeatedly use this Hebrew word toledot, or the generations of, that are, uh, and what you see in the first 11 chapters is it's all tracing how did these things come to be? How did these people come to be? And it culminates in chapter 11 with the story of the Tower of Babel that then results in the dispersion, and you get this big genealogy then, right, of all the here's where these people came from and here this, these people came from, et cetera.

So that's the first book of the Old Testament, has a lot of genealogy in it.

Then you go to the last book of the Old Testament, which in our English Bibles is Malachi, the Italian prophet, or that's my Bible joke-
