Sequel to horror comedy Black Sheep will world premiere this October, John Squires writes.

Writer-director Jonathan King's 2006 wacky zombie comedy Black Sheep is finally getting a sequel, and we've got the official title along with a first look image from the upcoming film.

It's titled Black Sheeps, and it's set to world premiere at the Stiggs Film Festival this October.

Twenty years after the original movie, director Jonathan King revisits the world of his New Zealand cult classic with Black Sheeps, a brand new tale of genetically modified animal horror.

The filmmaker isn't the only one back for this sequel to New Zealand's most successful horror movie.

Lead actor Nathan Meister returns to the role of Henry Oldfield.

He is a New Zealand-born celebrity, an award-winning actor, filmmaker, writer, director, model and photographer.

He has worked alongside directors Sir Peter Jackson, Taika Waititi and Jonathan King.

He is best known to generations of New Zealanders as Barney Livingston on Shortland Street.

He won Best Actor at Trope Fest and the New Zealand 48 Film Festival, and he is the recipient of the New Zealand School of Performing Arts Cup.

It's like before you walk onto the set, everybody is very much it just kind of feels like you're in you know drama school or somebody's flat it's really i think that's the only way to do it as well a lot of these people are working very long hours and so when you're not on set it does need to feel like your second home and so it is like boarding school it is like living with your friends

You have worked with Sir Peter Jackson, Taika Waititi and Jonathan King.

What do you take from working at that level? And is there something specific you carry with you from those experiences?
