Jonathan Cooley

After, as of Friday, Agero Avera out as defensive coordinator for the Carolina Panthers.

And out as the secondary is Jonathan Cooley as well.

So off this 27-19 loss, the Carolina Panthers fall to 3-4 on the season.

We'll get into Agero and Cooley's firings in just a second, but let's break down this game.

21-14, here's some stats.

21-14 first downs favoring the Packers.

Winner of that game, some people would argue, is setting up to be kind of the favorite in the NFC South.

But the Panthers... wanted to make themselves known after this loss, they fire Agera Avera, defensive coordinator.

Like, is this, like, completely desperate by Carolina? Because think about it.

Not only did they fire their D.C., they fired the defensive passing game coordinator, Jonathan Cooley.

So you got longtime defensive line coach Todd Walsh, who's going to step in as the interim defensive coordinator, But for anybody that isn't aware of how many jobs, how many coaches are on the sideline, how many coaches come together to come up with a game plan defensively and offensively each and every single week, and now you've taken away the play caller, the defensive coordinator and play caller, and the passing game defensive coordinator.

Now you're putting more of a responsibility on the defensive line coach And let's not forget, like, their two top corners are on IR, Mike Jackson and J.C. Horn.

He makes a drastic one.

They not only fire the defensive coordinator, Edgerow Evero, who's been there D.C. for the last couple of seasons, and I feel like it was just two years ago this guy was getting head coach interviews.

They also fire the defensive passing game coordinator, Jonathan Cooley.

So longtime defensive line coach Todd Walsh will step up and be the interim defensive coordinator for the remaining 10 games of the season.

This wreaks a desperation to me.

The Panthers announcing that they've fired their defensive coordinator, Ezra Evero.

and the defensive pass game coordinator in Jonathan Cooley.

Now the defense ranked 30th against the run, 9th versus the pass, 23rd in total defense.

Panthers giving up the six most points per game in the league.

I made reference to it.

We're getting into some news.

Jeremy Fowler reported this morning that the Panthers are letting go of their defensive coordinator, Adjero Evero, and their defensive passing game coordinator, Jonathan Cooley.

And this is kind of crazy to me because Evero was considered a very good defensive coordinator.

You know, just a few years ago, he was in talks for a head coaching job, and now he's just ass.
