Jonathan Coe

I wanted to ask you and the cooperative for any recommendations of political fiction, or at least politically charged fiction.

I personally love Jonathan Coe's books, which focus on real people and relationships, but are often set against the backdrop of political turmoil.

Jonathan Coe's books are very funny as well, and he is able to capture the absurdity of modern Britain and its political dimension.

Can I ask you one final question, prompted by something that, um, the novelist Jonathan Coe posted the other day.

He pointed out that his first novel, published nearly 40 years ago, was priced at £9.99. His most recent novel is priced at £20.

Now, inflation would suggest it would be much higher than that.
