Jon Stickley

All right, here we go.

John Stickley on Southern Songs and Stories here at the Albino Skunk Music Festival, fall of 2027, nine years plus ago.

It was May of 2017, I sat down with you and talked with the trio about all things John Stickley Trio.

That is really where the Southern Songs and Stories journey began, and as it comes to a close, it's the perfect opportunity to talk with you here at Albino Skunk.

Nine plus years have gone by.

Yeah, it's, it's great to watch your musical career progress over the past decade, and to, to see the life changes a- and to, to be here with your then fiance-

[laughs] Yeah

... and for her to tell me backstage, it's just like, I was talking about you, and I was like, "Man, I love John Stickley." She said, "I really love John."

And then we're doing a really big show, the Thanksgiving, the Saturday after Thanksgiving at the Orange Peel in Asheville.

And that's like our hometown throw down where we got a bunch of guests, John Stickley and Lindsey Pruitt.

Hannah, our keys player, will be there.

We got a horn section coming out.

And I saw that

John Stickley was just out in Colorado with, like, did you see that?

Yeah, he was with, like, Torrin, maybe?

Yeah, and Cortland from Magoo.

Or Tone Slabs, I think we might have something in the works with them for Sons of Stars, because they're a pick company, too.

Frank Sullivan, he's an awesome mandolin player, and that's his thing, the Tone Slabs.

And they're like, John Stickley has a custom one.

They're really good.
