You know, it was fun because usually the Emmys, you're just sitting in a row, but we got to sit with John Stewart and John Oliver.

With that photographer- The photographer came over and he goes, "Oh, look at all you g- let's get, uh, one shot of all you, all you hosts together." So we got up and we got in a little circle, and the guy said...

And the, and the guy said, "Oh, it's the endangered table" [laughs] And look at our faces there.

Um, a good scene between them.

And another one where should he have maybe taken Jon Stewart out of the car to make sure that car didn't light on fire a few seconds later? Yeah.

But I kinda get what he's saying.

But...

Mike Johnson saw this news and the way that it was structured procedurally, and I might not be able to explain this perfectly, but in rough terms, puts a clock for forcing a vote on impeachment and getting that ball rolling.

And so, because of the clock that has been started by Massey's move here to discuss and decide on this topic, Mike Johnson just ended Congress until after the midterms.

Now, they were already going to go on recess until after the midterms on Thursday, but he pulled it back even earlier.

So today they're just going to wrap up, go home, which I thought they just got back to work.

I'm very confused.

Mike Johnson on Wednesday announced he's sending members home from Washington early.

for their seven-week campaigning recess a move that will stave off a vote on impeaching defense secretary pete hegseth so again if you were worried about the productivity of congress just know at least they were able to vote on a denunciation of socialism they did get that done now the second push for the remaining epstein files uh bill that will not be heard because of the recess.

A lot of them feel like you're down.

But I do think that Jon's backstory...

I think that's my issue, too.

Origin story.

I can't wait for us to get to the last episode.

And Jon Stewart wears the suit.

Just like in WandaVision, where we get to the end and Wanda wears the suit.

And I also think like the performances are phenomenal.

I think that like Aaron Pierre is incredible as Jon Stewart.

I think Kyle Chandler is like generational casting as Hal Jordan.

Yeah.

And the magic trick of Lanterns is that while Hal is... an asshole while Hal makes bad decisions, while Hal probably can't be trusted to be left on his own with anything more complicated than I don't know, like a phone book or something.

You still get with Chandler this raw sense of like emotion and honesty and kind of like charisma and charm where like there's this incredible balance the show has where he spends most of the show hitting on Kerry Kane, who is the sheriff played by Kelly McDonald, who is a married woman.

And she clearly hates his guts in Jon Stewart's immediate assessment.

His response is, yeah, but it's the way she hates him.

Very successful podcast she's got at the moment.

She had Jon Stewart, who's a talk show host on with her.

And they were talking about the kids leaving the household.

I love them.

So essentially what happened there is it turns out that the city knew about the toxic air and asbestos that was present in the wake of the 9-11 attacks and never told anybody, never disclosed this information.

And 25 years later, Zoran Mamdani, our Muslim mayor, was the mayor to have released this 170-page record And you know there was a John Stewart who's really done a lot for for 9-11 victims and survivors Was seen talking about this with mom Donnie right behind him So I mean you know my dad was in New York and downtown that the stock exchange on that day is very personal issue And it's really appalling to me to have learned that the city knew I mean I know people who have had 9-11 related cancers and and I'm grateful to mom Donnie for releasing those records.
