Because purgation is, is made up of lots of different experiences.

So in the book, I talk about training with spiritual practices.

So these are like ascetic practices, which ascetic is kind of a big theological word for spiritual disciplines of self-denial.

So like you were talking about with Richard's book, um, with spiritual disciplines.

Then you have temptation where we're constantly being tempted and it's like confusing and why are we having to, you know, undergo these things? And then there's affliction.

first of all, for anyone listening who's like, what are they talking about? What is a rule of life? And then also, can you kind of dig into like the preamble, the precepts and the orarium? Because I'm really interested in kind of how that can take shape more in my life.
