And I think this is obviously the classic Yes lineup with John Anderson on vocals, Steve Howell on guitars, Chris Squire on bass, Rick Wakeman on pianos, organ, Moog synthesizer, Mellotron.

everything else, Bill Bruford on drums and Alan White did some work on like bonus editions of this album, but really it's, it's Bruford on drums.

Were you familiar with this album at all? Or like, was this kind of just not really in your wheelhouse because it was so out there and not an album that they were playing on the radio because the songs are, some of them are 20 minutes long or almost 20 minutes.

As you know, Rich is... a funny guy, so I think you might get a chuckle or two out of this.

But he said, there are only three certainties in life, death taxes and Googling top 10 prog albums of all time and finding close to the edge, either topping or being very high on that list.

This is Yes's fourth studio album and the second and last, I'm not counting 1991's Union album, to feature what many consider their best lineup of John Anderson, Bill Bruford, Steve Howe, Chris Squire, and Rick Wakeman.

five distinct and unique musical voices combining to create something special that would influence so many bands for the next 50 plus years i heard this album for the first time in 1992 when i was 17 and i was blown away that something 20 years old could sound so out of this world it wasn't just music it was a destination i was transported to planet yes and i've been going back regularly since I'm not going to say anything about the songs on the album as I'll either say too little or way too much and bore everybody and the people want to hear you talk about them, not me.

It's amazing that YMP still exists after all these years, and it certainly wouldn't without your support and dedication to the world's greatest progressive rock band and the world's longest-running, yes, podcast.

And I suspect John Anderson and the Band Geeks will be playing that on their forthcoming tour, which goes out to the UK for the very first time next month.

They'll be visiting Birmingham Symphony Hall on the 15th of September.

But we will be in Bristol that evening for Voyage 35, taking a little trip down memory lane.

Because he had quite a chronic asthma attack, I believe.

You know, the guy is still out there performing.

So, if I had a choice between seeing the current line-up of Yes or John Anderson and the Band Geeks, I think I know where I would stand.
