And we only get Zampano as manuscript because it was discovered by Johnny Truant, who's this tattoo shop employee in Los Angeles.

And Johnny's own sanity begins to completely unravel in the margins and footnotes as he attempts to edit the text.

So you have three layers of consciousness all bleeding into one another.

It operates like a high-end true crime documentary dissecting the found footage we just watched in week one.

Wow, that would be so disorienting in a good way.

But slowly, that clinical tone fractures, the audio drops out, the lighting becomes unreliable, and then week three pivots entirely to the neon-soaked, chaotic, hyperkinetic breakdown of Johnny Truant in Los Angeles.

So the camera itself becomes the ultimate unreliable narrator.

And then you have a third layer, a young, deeply troubled tattoo shop apprentice in Los Angeles named Johnny Truant who finds Zampano's dead body, takes the manuscript, and slowly loses his own grip on reality while trying to assemble and annotate it
