Johnny Q. Public

We actually had a family band that would perform at churches together.

And then when my brother, who was younger than me, he got in a band with these boys called Johnny Q Public.

And they got signed to Goatee Records and went down that avenue.

And then I shortly followed with making demo tapes and getting signed with Murr and began my touring and recording days too.

He actually is the guy that we wrote Lift My Eyes Up, which is like my most loved song.

He and I wrote that.

But there was some other people, Dan Fritz of Johnny Q Public also wrote on that song.

So it was kind of a collaborative effort.
