Johnny Handsome

Steelbook, Steelbook, and more Steelbook from Paramount.

Uh, Johnny Handsome is a film that, uh, you know, has its fans from, uh, director Walter Hill.

I never saw this film, Mickey Rourke starring in this.

I received my review copy and, uh, hope to get to it soon.

Uh, it's about a gangster whose, uh, facial deformities earned him a nickname, Johnny Handsome, and he and a friend are double- double crossed during a robbery by two partners.

His friend is killed, and Johnny's sent to prison, and there a sympathetic surgeon makes a deal to give Johnny a new face and a new shot at life.

Uh, I'm typically a fan of, uh, Walter Hill, so I'm sure I probably would enjoy this.

Mickey Rourke, Lance Henriksen, Ellen Barkin, Elizabeth McGovern, Forest Whitaker, Morgan Freeman, good cast there.

But I got the Walter Hill imprint box set.

And it has Hard Times, The Driver in 4K, Long Riders, Extreme Prejudice, Johnny Handsome and Broken Trail.

And the case is awesome.

It's a hard case here with everything.

So Hard Times, The Driver.

I just saw Hard Times for the first time earlier this year, last year.

And I haven't seen The Long Rider, Johnny Handsome, or Broken Trail, so this is going to be a good set.

But, man, as I'm collecting, I might just see this Walter Hill filmography all the way through because Warriors has a sweet Arrow video release.

Sleepy Hollow, Steelbook.

We got Johnny Handsome.

We got Italo Crime.

Okay.

One of the things, uh, I was thinking about, this might have been...

I, I heard this one, uh, compliment to Johnny Handsome, that Mickey Rourke film.

I think it was a Walter Hill-

Oh

Eh.

Um, Johnny Handsome's getting a 4K.

We've covered that on the show before.

Uh, Freddy and I did that a long time ago.
