Johnny Gioeli

Um, so- Very scaled down, um, but it means you get different style of music, different style of arrangements, which is really fun.

Now, the other tour that's going on right now is Johnny Crush 40's legally distinct hedgehog-themed music event called the Speed of Sound Tour, um, in which Johnny Gioeli of Crush 40 and a handful of hired gun musicians are doing Crush 40 tunes.

Um, but that is not really officially sanctioned by Sega.

That's why there's no actual Sonic the Hedgehog imagery in any of the, um, promotional materials.

[electronic sounds]

It is your classic metal show right here on the classicmetalshow.com, and that is, uh, Hardline right there, featuring Johnny Gioeli on lead vocal with Hot Cherry.

And kicking off the show tonight, we heard, uh, Every Mother's Nightmare with Push.

And a guy knows, when it comes to push, comes to shove, this guy knows how to push his weight around, my good friend and partner Chris Akin.

And you know what? Any musician associated with Sonic The Hedgehog is a friend o' mine.

Even Johnny Gioeli.

We forget John...

We forgive Johnny Gioeli.

What did he do again?

He was the voice of the Sonic Adventure songs up to about-

I am, of course, Kevin.

And, um, they're about to do, on the Sonic Stadium, um, our good buddy Sven is gonna sit down with Johnny Gioeli, and they're gonna talk about the Speed of Sound World Tour.

And, uh, I'm seeing a lot of people, if you're watching the video live when I'm doing this on Twitch, there's a lot of comments in that chat above me that seem convinced that because it says Crush 40, Crush 40 are going to be there.

It's just Johnny, okay [laughs].

Considering all that's been going on, this might be really amusing inadvertently.

I'm, I'm curious as to what possible nonsense is going to be said.

What announcements will there be? Will they announce TJ Davis, which they've already done? Will they announce the places that they said they were going to do but haven't, haven't said anything about them yet, like the other countries? Will Johnny Gioeli be sort of off his head perhaps slightly? Um, I don't know.

All of th- these things are yet to be revealed, because apparently we're still waiting for Sonic Stadium [laughs].
