Well, next we have a film noir, I believe.

It's 1941's Johnny Eager.

What can you tell us about this release?

This is when film noir was really starting to crystallize.

So much so that when MGM was promoting the film, they were promoting it as TNT, Taylor and Turner.

You know, watch Lana Turner and Robert Taylor explode like dynamite on the big screen.

And Johnny Eager was a huge hit for MGM in 1941.

It won Van Heflin the Best Supporting Actor Oscar for his performance in this film, which really put him on the map as a major screen presence to be dealt with after this movie.
