Yeah, that book was a formative influence on me as well.

Uh, my, my first major book, uh, was called The Ascent of Humanity, and in part it was an answer to Daniel Quinn, Derek Jensen, John Zerzan, the kind of anti-civilization discourse.

Uh, and, and Quinn narrates it as a fall.

Uh, these guys all narrate human history, the history of civilization anyway, as a fall from, from a state of harmony and connection.

And I was hopeful, but I was nervous.

And when I met Dr. Zerzan last year, I was like, man, this is a fit.

He's my Dan Campbell.

He gave me so much hope last year.

I met with an exercise team.

I tried to attack this at every possible way I could.

I'm going to do everything in my power to fight it, and I'm going to work with Dr. Zerzan and his team and allow them to fight the fight with me.

And so we just went full bore and, you know, just changed diet.
