Man, I think you just said a lot of it, but I actually kind of put this into a couple different categories because just like you, we had a guy on our 4th of July episode.

Yeah, oh, John Wayne Walding.

And this guy, to put it in like a quick form, was in, I think it was Afghanistan, fighting with 10 people against thousands on the side of a mountain.

And his bottom half of his leg gets blown off.

And God starts, that's an example, but God can start putting these little things into you that causes that resilience to happen if you just don't quit.

So I think sometimes we look at athletes running 100-yard sprints.

We look at John Wayne carrying his leg.

But we don't look at the day-to-days.

I don't think we've ever done an episode about this topic, and I'm really excited of who we get to have on here today to talk about it.

So let's kick it off with Alex.

A majority of that was over in 3rd Special Forces Group as a Green Beret.

And to Buggy's point, I have the honor and privilege to serve on the board of directors for the Best Defense Foundation and also serve as the president.

And so that's actually where we are right now is the location where we host every Stronghold program.

And we're between programs.

But nobody asked me about April 7th.

All right, guys, John Wayne Walding spent 12 years in the United States Army, including seven years with the 3rd Special Forces Group, serving in both Iraq and Afghanistan.

In 2008, during the brutal Battle of Shock Valley in Afghanistan, John was shot by a sniper and lost the lower portion of his right leg.

He tied his wounded leg to his thigh and continued fighting alongside his brothers.
