John V. Lombardi

Every unfamiliar sound outside of an apartment could feel like evidence that the killer had returned.

John Lombardi was only six months into his tenure as president of the University of Florida.

The university temporarily canceled classes, encouraged students to leave for Labor Day weekend, and placed holds on certain tuition and fee deadlines.

But Lombardi chose not to close the university completely.

I didn't remember that it was sort of up in the air as to whether they would play the game.

And the documentary has John Lombardi in it, the former UF president, and he does a great job of explaining it and was basically like, look, we need a football game.

We need that community.

We need to come together.
