The companies that are involved are interested in what the long-term outlook is for quantum.

And John Towns, who's the deputy director for NCSA, gave a great presentation this morning where he uh basically said that the infrastructure isn't the product right it's the capability that's the product and ncsa exists at this nexus of hpc and ai and quantum but also applications and expertise and that's going to be really important as we roll forward it's not just oh ai is going to go do this for me you have to understand it Where is that expertise coming from? And what's the goal? How do I prompt the AI? AI will help for all of this, but I don't think the need for HPC or quantum expertise goes anywhere.

No, not at all.

And first of all, shout out to NCSA.

They absolutely are.

But we're looking at what's the investment in science that keeps this going.

And that's something that John Towns and other people brought up as a challenge for academic sites in the U.S. right now, that that's not the current administration's priority.

They are doing some government funded things through Genesis Mission, but academic centers are struggling a little bit.
