um tolan was the was the hitler biographer okay um david irving is is like the scribe of the third reich but if hitler himself it's john tolan okay and um his biography is just that it's the life of adolf hitler um and um tolan was the only historian hitler's family was willing to speak to like it's fate kind of conspired to assign Toland to that role, as is often the case with historical writers.

As I age, I realize more and more that that's true and it's not some sort of self-created mythology that historical authors have kind of crafted about their their endeavors, um, off the top of my head, that's, um, that's about the best list I can come, I can come up with.

I highly recommend that book to everyone I talk about.

And then finally, um, you know, how I wanna get into some comparing, comparing and contrasting, you know, in direct, kind of in direct capacity, you know, um, of textual criticism.

You know, like the Simms book and books like R.H.S. Stolze's fantastic biography of Hitler called Hitler: Beyond Evil and Tyranny, and John Toland, who I believe wrote the kind of seminal biography on Adolf Hitler.

I, I part ways with him on some claims, um, and we, we'll, we'll get into that later.

But it's, I, I make this point too, 'cause I, again, I think John Toland made the point.

I mean, I realize Toland, Toland was certainly, uh, hostile to the, the New Dealer perspective.

And you'll get a kick out in here because in this particular book, where did it go? I use a lot of really rare books, and I only use primary sources.

And this is a book by John Toland that George recognized, Ships in the Sky, okay? And I was amazed because I wanted to see if there was anything in here about Dorothy.
