How you have cultivated that or how you do that?

That's an interesting question.

With First Saturdays, the whole system is set up so that there are these little acts that are part of it.

Like we tell the volunteers that all of the clothing we give away and the food and the care packs, these are all props so that we can have an interaction.

And within that, there's kind of... a script to what the interaction can be and if you want it to go deeper and you want to listen to their story then there's room for that but there's also room to be like let me talk to the next i have to give the next one away and so there's and there's also a tables that you can be behind so that you can walk away so there's you have a lot of control over how much you want which i think helps and i think what i found is a lot of people once they have the opportunity to take the wall down and they have an interaction, it nourishes them in these incredible ways.

But it's a good point that without some sort of safety, it's risky.

I think it's good to acknowledge that it can be hard and it can be dangerous in terms of your energy.
